“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.
By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.”
Hebrews 11:1-3
How many of you have ever received a promise or a word from God? I know I have. Sometimes those promises are so great that they almost seem impossible and we can’t really see how they will come to pass in our lives. Well the good news is, God doesn’t need anything that can be seen in order to bring about His Word to us! All He needs is our faith and absolute trust!
Do you know what else? We are to operate the same way God does! We are to do as He does and “call those things which are not as thought they were (Romans 4:17).”
Now, I’m not just talking about randomly naming off a bunch of stuff you want! I’m talking about that word you got straight from the Lord about the good plan He wants to bring about in your life; those promises of healing, restoration, peace, joy, and prosperity found in His Word!
“Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.”
Mark 11:22-24
So, what have you been talking about lately? Have you been talking the problem that you see right now, or have you been talking the promises and Word of God that you see in your heart? Make a decision today to speak only faith! I will leave you with Hebrews 10:23 -
“Let us seize and hold tightly the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is reliable and trustworthy and faithful [to His word]…”
