I Can't Hear You!

Have you ever been in a battle? Maybe you’re in one now? Many times it seems like the battles that are the greatest are the ones where no one is around you to cheer you on.  It’s easy to grow tired and be unsure of the outcome.  Circumstances and fear can grip you concerning what the future may hold. I want to remind you today what your future holds.  It holds victory!

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer! For I have overcome the world.”
What does it mean to be of good cheer? The way I read it today was that I need to be full of cheer.  A good cheerer.  You know a great cheerer is not silent.  Have you ever seen someone who is passionate about cheering for their team?  They definitely are not silent.  Even when things look bad or impossible… the good fan continues to cheer for their team and sometimes even louder.  They raise their voice, stand up on their feet and begin to yell, “Come on! Go! You got this!”

How’s your cheer today?  Is it a good cheer?  Because God here tells us to be a good cheerer!  So I would say if others cannot hear you, you cannot hear you!  Raise your voice today!  Shout for joy!  You have overcome and victory is yours!

Psalm 8:2 MSG “Nursing infants gurgle choruses about you; toddlers shout the songs that drown out enemy talk, and silence atheist babble.”

Praise in our mouths is the key to silencing our opposition!  So lift your voice today!  There is no weapon formed against you that can prosper. Everything that rises against you must fall.  1,000 may fall at your side and 10,000 at your right hand but it will not come near you.  Cheer and praise the Lord today.  Even if you’re going through the fire you do not have to come out smelling like smoke!
