Get Lost

Have you ever made this statement to anyone?…”Get Lost!!!”  If so, it was probably some individual that rubbed you the wrong way, and you were fixing to do something that you could very well regret later.  Well I am not telling you to say that to someone that upsets you within moments of reading this spiritual devotional today; but, to remind you that this is what Jesus told us to do.  Just like everything else He said, it might make your head spin a little bit.  Check this out!

Mathew 10:39 NLT says:

If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.

I may not be a professional at anything, but I do know this:  if Jesus said it, it’s doable.

This is the state that most of us live in.  We want everything in our lives to be in order, and when things are out of order, so are we.  For some reason we have trained our thinking to think that natural life is more important than the eternal.  I want to ask you, whats the purpose to your life?  I will let you know that its way bigger than you think.  God put you here, and out of 7 billion peeps, there is only 1 you. 

God wants to do extraordinary things with your life, but as long as we remain in control, life will never be fulfilling.  We weren’t created to live life for ourselves.  Jesus came on a mission.  To seek and save them that were lost.  Me and you were lost.  Jesus lost His life in a very messy way for me and you, and because of that, we gained life.  Guess what is going to happen when you lose your life for Him??? People are going to get life and so are you!!

There is nothing like being used by God to give someone life.  Make it a goal to step out and do what God asks you to do today!!
