A Successful Day
Ever had one of those days that you would gladly erase from
your memory? It’s probably a day that felt like nothing more could have gone
wrong, and then only a short moment after that thought, something unfortunate
happened. We would all chalk it up as a “bad” or unsuccessful day.
It’s easy to measure our success based on the things we have
or don’t have, or our circumstances. But what does a successful day look like?
Is it when everything seems to go right? Is it when all your needs are provided
for, and there are not any worries or burdens lingering? I believe every day
can be successful by just one measurement, and that is communion with God.
Proverbs 3:6 says “seek His will in all you do, and He will
show you which path to take.” By following the path that our Creator is showing
us to take, we can be confident that we are smack-dab in the middle of His
will. If we are on the right path for our lives, that is a successful day,
regardless of the circumstances that come your way.
The most successful day you can have is the one that you
prioritize communion with Him. Set aside a few moments to seek God in prayer
and to dedicate your steps to Him today, and then enjoy your successful day as
you walk in the path He has prepared for you! Proverbs 3:6 NLT Seek his will in
