WALKING BY FAITH

WALKING BY FAITH

The Bible says in several places that “The just shall live by faith”.  Living by faith does not mean that there is a mental agreement that somehow everything will work out like it’s suppose to - just whatever God’s will is, or even that somehow God will do something.  Faith is believing that God HAS ALREADY done something!

Such a great need in the lives of believers is for mind renewal in the area of what Christ accomplished in the finished work of His death, burial, and resurrection, and that when Christ died, we died.  When Christ was resurrected, we were resurrected.  When God seated Jesus FAR above all principality, power, might and every name that is named, He took you with Him!  See this great passage of Scripture below in Ephesians 1:

16 I do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers.
17 [For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him,
18 By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones),
19 And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength,
20 Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places],
21 Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come.
22 And He has put all things under His feet and has appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church [a headship exercised throughout the church],
23 Which is His body, the fullness of Him Who fills all in all [for in that body lives the full measure of Him Who makes everything complete, and Who fills everything everywhere with Himself].

You’ll notice in this passage of Scripture that not once did he pray for God to save someone, heal someone or for God to meet a financial need or restore a broken relationship.  He prayed that our eyes be flooded with light so we can KNOW something - what God in Christ has already done for us - and IT IS HUGE!

Get out of the waiting room - just waiting on God to do something!  He has already done something!  Pray this prayer over yourself today and believe God to flood your heart with light so you can see the truth of who you really are and what you really have, and then open your mouth and declare it to be so in your life!  No matter what it looks like, no matter what it feels like, agree with Truth - agree with God!  This is walking by faith.
