Who You Really Are

Religious spirits (whose lord is Satan by the way) have done quite the job in convincing mankind that they are little more than a worm, a little bitty man in a great big world created by an all powerful God whose actions are as mysterious as their own existence and purpose.

The saddest thing of all is that this way of thinking is not just that of the world, but God’s very own children have been duped by the enemy - either through deception or by ignorance - into embracing this horrific lie.

Can I be very frank?  Until we get to the place that we are unwilling to do without the Truth of God’s Word and find out for ourselves what God has to say about Himself and about us, we will continue to live with an extreme inferior image of ourselves.  We must stop taking our cues from the other people, from our misguided experiences, from what some religious person said (no matter how well meaning), and go to GOD Himself and allow Him to reveal Himself to us.  It is in knowing Him that we know and understand our worth, our divine call and who we really are!

Genesis 1:26-28 tells us that God created man in His image to have dominion and authority in the earth.  Does dominion and authority sound like a helpless worm to you?

Psalm 8 tells us that God created man a little lower than Eloheim (the Creative Name of God as used in Genesis 1), crowned him with glory and honor and gave him dominion and authority over all the earth!  Think on this!

Psalm 115:6 in the passion says, “The heavens belong to our God; they are His alone, but He has given us the earth and put us (man) in charge.”

Man has dominion and authority in the earth.  Not God. (don’t choke on that). Not angels.  Can I ask, “What is Satan?”  He is a fallen angel.  Therefore, the only way he can have any authority in the earth is for mankind to yield to him and allow him to use their own God given authority against them!  The same is true in the life of a Christian.  Satan can’t just do whatever he pleases in the earth or in our lives.  He has to use a man to execute his plans of destruction.  God must also work through a man to execute his good plans of righteousness and abundant life!  My friends, it is not all up to God!  God is not in control!  Yes, I realize that you just sucked all the air out of the room that and might even have gotten a bit indignant.  However, the Scripture tells us that he created MAN (you!) to have dominion and authority in the earth and if God is going to have His way, then there must be a man (or woman) that will yield to Him and to His Love and His Power and execute that in the earth!

This is spiritual law.  That means it works for every person every time, regardless of whether we know it or not.  Just like gravity is a natural law and works the same way for every person every time.  Ignorance of gravity does not eliminate the law.  The spiritual law of authority and dominion works the same way for every person every time.  Ignorance will not eliminate the law or the fruit of our choices.  Deuteronomy 30:18, “ I set before you today life and death, blessing and cursing . .”  What are YOU choosing?  It’s one or the other.  There is no gray area.  Choose life!!

Romans 5:17 tells us that God’s plan for us is to rule and reign as kings in this life.  How do kings reign?  With their words!  They decree or command a thing and it is so.  So, it is with us.  Proverbs 18:21 says that death and life are in the power of the tongue.  Satan’s will.  God’s will.  Our choice.  I encourage you today - be aware of the thoughts that are coming your way - recognize where they are coming from.  Every fiery dart (thought) of the enemy you can bring to nought by opening your mouth and declaring God’s Word.  Resist the devil and he will flee from you!  And even more so, open your mouth every day and declare God’s Word in your life and over your family’s lives so God can bring about His good plan for your life, the life Jesus came to give you - the abundant life, to the full, until it overflows!!
