“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10

Did you know that God has given you a gift? Yes you. Not just the Pastor or the people you classify as spiritual. God has given YOU a gift. Say it out loud: “I have received a gift from God.” This gift is to be used for the ministry.

You are called to be a minister for God. Many times we hear the word “minister” and think this is referring to someone standing in the pulpit. The Bible says that we are all ministers. YOU are a minister for God. You have a gift that He’s placed in you to be used.

“If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 4:11

We see that verse 11 says we are to minister with the ability HE supplies. It’s His ability in you that makes you able to do whatever He asks you to do. This causes us to give all the glory back to Him for anything and everything.

Today, remember that YOU are called. YOU are chosen. YOU have a gift. Don’t compare yourself to others but simply be who He’s called YOU to be! Step out and be bold with the gifts He’s given you and use them for Him. Use them to advance His kingdom and reach out to the lost and hurting around you today.
