Satisfaction guaranteed

Satisfaction guaranteed

Have you ever been going throughout your day and you just needed something to pick you up?  Maybe you just came out of a rough meeting, or a big deal fell through, or maybe you have been having hard times at home with the kids and your better half…Whatever it is, this is for you!
If you are like me, you may have this thing called a sweet tooth that wants to be satisfied.  Well there is this candy bar called a Snickers and they claim on the back of the package that it “Satisfies.”
I think we can relate to this.  Its funny how as people, we look to something instead of someone to satisfy. Pretty much everything has this connotation that it will satisfy.  Like buying the new car is so exciting until 1 month later when the first 500 dollar payment is due.  Or the big lake house that is so beautiful from the outside keeps you up at night because the payment is 2 months behind and you can’t figure out how to make it work.  From the outside, people are so impressed by your life but only you know that its really not what satisfies you.  Truth is, satisfaction doesn’t come from what you have but who you know.   To often, we live in society eating what they all say satisfies and in reality, we find ourselves still searching for that “guaranteed satisfaction.”
Lets take a look at Psalms 107:8-9!
Let them praise the Lord for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them.  For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.
Jesus said in John 4 that there was one thing that worked for Him and its the same thing that will work for me and you…lets look at vs 31-34 NLT.
31 Meanwhile, the disciples were urging Jesus, “Rabbi, eat something.” 32 But Jesus replied, “I have a kind of food you know nothing about.”     33 “Did someone bring him food while we were gone?” the disciples asked each other.                                                                                      34 Then Jesus explained: “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work.
Jesus found satisfaction in doing what God said.  Guess what…This is exactly how you will find satisfaction as well.  And its guaranteed satisfaction!  One last scripture to prove it!
Isaiah 1:19 NIV
If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land

God wants your life filled with good things.  He wants you satisfied.  Take some time today to hear what He has to say and do what He asks you!  He promises that it will give you good things to eat!! Or in other words, Satisfaction!!
