James 4:8 says, “come close to God and He will come close to
you.” Often times we can think that we can’t come close to God because we don’t
have “time.” We think if I have to spend time with God it is going to have to
be at least one hour, and I just don’t have time for that. The fact of the
matter is that is not true at all. God just wants to be with you. When you come
to the Lord do not be so caught up in the time constraint, but rather yield
yourself to the Lord. He has things he wants to tell you. He has answers,
direction, love to pour on you. You can’t afford not to be with Him.
1 Peter 2:9 & 10 says, “But you are the ones chosen by
God, chosen for the high calling priestly work, chosen to be a holy people,
God’s instruments to do His work and speak out for Him, to tell others of the
night and day difference he made for you from nothing to something, from
rejected to accepted.”
God has chosen YOU. He wants to be with YOU. It doesn’t
matter if you just messed up or if you have been walking with Him for years. He
desires to be with you. If I could leave one thing with you today it is to
guard your prayer time. He wants nothing more than to be with you!
