Pile it,
cast it, throw it, punt it, elbow it, catapult it, just don't keep it
So you are probably looking at
that title and catching your breath after reading it. If you grew up in
the 90s like me, you probably had this game in your home. This was
looooong before todays iPhones, internet, ultra hd tv with intense surround
sound, and redbox was here to rob everyone’s time. It was in an age where
people actually had to think about things and comprehend them instead of just
asking our phones to do it for us. Follow that by a 5 minute argument with siri
because you ask for the directions to Mcdonalds and it looks up Central Mall in
Fort Smith seven times in a row. The game above is called bop it. If you ever played the game, there were several different things that it would ask you to do. As you progress, the game gets faster and faster. It says things like bop it, twist it, pull it, twist it, bop it, pull it, pull it, bop it…well you get the picture. In reading this passage found in Psalms, I was encouraged by the Lord replaying it with the bop it theme. Check out Psalms 55:22 (msg)
Pile your troubles on God’s shoulders, he’ll carry your load, he’ll help you out. He’ll never let good people topple into ruin.
Whatever you are facing today that presents itself as a trouble to you, pile it on God’s shoulders! Pile it, cast it, throw it, punt it, elbow it, catapult it!! WHATEVER YOU DO, DON’T KEEP IT! Get those troubles over on to God’s shoulders! We weren’t created to carry our problems with us everywhere that we go. God wants us running in this race. All the excess weight of troubles will only slow us down. Think of your troubles right now like bop it. Whatever God is asking you to do, do it! There is nothing bad that comes out of doing whatever He says!
